[SOLVED] What happened to Beta 3?

First I want to make clear this: As everyone here I want stable and secure system, I'm not in hurry and I want in the end to have one excellent release no matter how long I must wait.

Okay now to the question: What happened to Beta 3? I mean what is the problem this time? Except Alpha 1 every Mageia 5 release is late. I have no problems with that and I know why they are late. What is the case with Beta 3 and can we expect Mageia Final to be released on schedule?

Some news from your friendly QA team. Things are moving quickly now. There is an awful lot going on.

There was a long meeting with packagers, devs and QA about a week ago now to do some housekeeping and identify the major current issues. Tasks were assigned to various people so all-in-all it was very productive and we've seen rapid progress this week.

We're currently on the 3rd round of pre-release beta 3 ISOs and expecting there will be more before we're done with it.

There are alot of fairly fundamental changes occurring, including EFI and GPT support with sensible default settings, a new partitioning scheme if the installer is told to automatically partition the disk allowing more space for / and /swap on larger disks, nvidia driver changes providing a new nvidia340 legacy driver for older cards and much more besides.

Much of this is quite low level more specialised stuff, which means it falls mostly on the shoulders of an overloaded few, so if you have experience at this kind of level and can manage a bit of perl, your assistance would no doubt be most welcomed!
