i finaly got Mageia 4 working had to replace my hard drive...

i went to use k9copy to backup a dvd
it started ok gave me a message
not enough disk space???
i have a 500 gig drive
have only the os vlc and k9copy installed
i am sure there is PLENTY of spce left on my hard drive LOL
please help!

hi

just make sure the folder you are copying to is not in your root partition.

Make that: Just make sure the folder you are copying to (or maybe a folder is used temporarily by k9copy) has sufficient free space.
E.g. k3b will by default choose to create images in /tmp which is usually a tmpfs and so there's not much space there.
Cauldron is not for the faint of heart!

I just had that problem today myself. Volume full, when I knew there were literally terabytes free on it.

Turned out that the share I thought was mounted, wasn't mounted. And the mountpoint is a directory, so when I copied to the mountpoint, I filled my root filesystem full.
