2 nice news for us:

As Margot announced in the mageia-discuss mailing list today, the new issue of Linux Format is featuring a cover DVD with Mageia 1.

#2:
The new issue of the German LinuxUser magazine features 2 DVDs (one each for i586 and x86_64), and one KDE live CD of Mageia 1, plus a 4-page article about Mageia 1 by yours truly.

June 1st the eagerly expected Mageia 1 became available on servers worldwide. The community-based fork of Mandriva presents itself as a stable system with an appealing straightforward design.

So we can prepare for a (huge) number of new users.

The important (and unusual) benefit of this article is that we will get 1.000 of those cover DVDs for free (to be used as give-aways at events). I hope (and expect) that the media will arrive in time for our FrOSCon stand, coming up in August (see viewtopic.php?f=5&t=775 )

Oops, my fault! I should have divided the two news in a better way.

The first news was about the article in Linux Format.
The second news was about the article in German LinuxUser. They are the ones who will send the media.
