How's about a sticker?

I just installed Mageia on my HP laptop last night. Great job -- with exception of that pesky Radeon thing. I don't know about elsewhere, but in the United States, all the laptops come with little stickers by the keyboard that say things like "Windows 7" and "Ultimate Vision AMD" and such. I always scratch off the Windows sticker, but it might be nice to have a little Mageia sticker to put there. Why not let people looking over your shoulder know what you're running?

You can print your own. Buy some printable stickers and design it.

Heh. Makes sense. For some reason I thought they were made of some sort of special plastic or something. God knows I have a hell of a time getting the Windoze sticker off. And I still can't get my fingernail under the AMD sticker...

The stickers that hardware/software vendors put on are made out of some special plastic. It's to help protect them so that they last longer. They also use a stronger adhesive than is usually available to the regular consumer, to make them harder to get off.
My Mandriva sticker, being printed on what was essentially plain paper with a sticky backside, did not last very long. It got dirty and rubbed out.
I was thinking that maybe if I were to laminate it this time... the only problem is how to laminate and keep the sticky.
