Posted: Jun 4th, '11, 05:09Just wanted to say hello and thanks to those of you who started Mageia. Just installed it today. The install went great. Only thing that I really had issues with was lvm and encryption on install. Takes a few more steps then Fedora, Opensuse, Debian, etc. Not hard at all, I just got lazy doing it the other way. I also kept trying to install things from the command line with urpmi install......... Yeah was use to yum, apt-get, etc. All is well now though 
I was a Mandrake Linux user until shortly after the merger and it changed to Mandriva. I wasn't happy with it and decided to try other distro's and wait for a bit and give Mandriva a try again. Well never got around to that. But once I saw what Mandriva was going through and then saw that Mageia was being started, I just had to jump in and get it installed as soon as I could once 1 was released.
