How is this possible? I really don't understand

We all know that the best software is mainly maintained by someone's company. Like Ubuntu and Canonical, and the death Mandriva distro, and Mandriva S.A

I have seen that Ubuntu is extremely well translated to other languages. My first language is Spanish, and the SO is completely well translated. I suppose because it's a distro maintained by a company that has enought money to afford a lot of translators...

Mageia shocked me. All the system is extremely well translated, with hardly any mistake. How is this possible? Mageia is maintained by volunteers, not by anyone's corporation with lots of money. And Mageia is only 2 years Old!!!!

I still don't understand, really. Linux Mint is too maintained by the community, and is horribly translated to my language. Is not spanish, is Spanglish. Mageia should be like this, not that shocking well translated distro.

A big bravo to Mageia Developpers!!!

I would think that it's due to the dedication and skills of the Spanish translation team:

To me it's like the difference between IKEA or similar and the home craftsman.
Yes IKEA puts out nice stuff but most everyone there is payed by the hour so it's about production.
The developers. translators and others here are more like the home craftsman. Yes it takes longer as they're not under the gun and have another life but when they get it done it is usually polished to perfection.
