Is Mageia worth it?

Hi.

As I can say, I'm a GNU/Linux newcomer, with oly 2-3 months of experience. I have been switching distros a lot, and now that i know Mageia, it is as Magic as it promised. The well maintained graphics desing fell me to the soul and the heart, just because my favorite color is blue. I'm obsessed with blue. I have tried Mint, Ubuntu, Fedora (with the horribly Gnome 3, Xubuntu, and PinguyOS but i'm never satisfied: Mint have a kernel issue that ''eats'' the batery life faster than other distros. Ubuntu >> Unity. Don't like it. Fedora and Gnome 3...horrrible. Couldn' withstand it. Xubuntu is so simple (althought I have been thinking Xubuntu +xfce +docky +synapse+ Radiance theme to aleviate the graphics beauty). And PinguyOS is not well translated to Spanish.

Is Mageia worth the try for me? consider this:
- Sudo apt is simpler than YUM or RPM. I barely managed to understand it when using Fedora
- Documentation about Mageia is almost impossible to find (search '' top things to do after installing Ubuntu 12.04'' and you will have lot of results) not with Mageia.
-Is SUPER SUPER SUPER well translated to spanish, my first language, as I saw from the LiveCD
-Is just a baby. Mageia might not have that lot of software ( I need: Office suite, VLC, VirtualBox, GIMP, Emesene/Pidgin, Skype 4.0, IDE''s for Python developpment (i'm trying to learn), Shutter, Google Chrome (optional) , WINE/Winetricks, Jdownloader (OpenJDK) and maybe other stuff)

I am 16 years Old

Hello and welcome amaterasu,
RPM not simple ? Do you know the MCC (Mageia Control Center) graphic tools ?
To install software, have a look here : https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Software_management
Yes, our documentation is still light, if you want to help, just let us know.
Have fun with Mageia.

Well, we have Libreoffice instead of OpenOffice, and JDownloader only has to be extracted and run, working fine here.
Apart from that, all software is available via the repositories. You may want to have a look at out MAQeias for Chromium/Chrome and Skype:

Hello and welcome  Another spanish here! :D
When I'm looking for something about Mageia, I also look for Mandriva, and I always find how to solve anything!
Also, all these software are in the repositories. I'm also learning python, and this was the harder to find package, it's called tkinter-apps. It includes IDLE and more stuff.
Skype 4.0 is on the Spanish community repository, we have a forum too: http://blogdrake.net/

Skype can easily be installed via the normal repositories: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=1121
