What sets Mageia apart from other distros, and your choice?

When switching from Windows to Linux I had some trouble finding a distro that got everything working on my laptop. Mageia was the first distro to get it right and since it suits me well I have stayed with it.

In the last couple of days I have seen people say Mageia is a ripoff of Mandriva and ROSA! All mad and stuff!

The one that really got me was "Mageia Control Center is a lot like Mandrake Control Center used to be".

Of course I told them the story...
