Wandering around in the forums and ran across my old page for how to enable root log in access. I wonder, is that still accurate for setting log in as root? Second, did anyone ever download the SuSE red admin page with the little fused bombs on it? That post is over a decade back, I note. Many distributions ago...

Hi all,

I will certainly try this once I install 8 on a laptop, not Live, and see if it still works. It did help me fix a problem a couple of times back then.

I am now used to using sudo all the time but still can see a possible need for this functionality.

If the Live disk has the same file structure as regular installs, which I am guessing it would, this no longer is a good piece of advice.
