Like its parent Mandriva, its main flaw is an insufficiently large repository.

This puzzles me the most.
While I could (in fact I do ) have some comments about Mageia 1's rather poor repositories and devs/packagers tendency to throw out the baby with the bath water, I don't see how could someone consider Mandriva's repositories not sufficiently large.

Some folks think if you do not have the same amount as the Debian repos your too small. I of course do not subscribe to that myself
