Discussion about release cycle

See Mageia 4, 5 delays. Mageia 6 delays, same again.

===> 9 months, really?!?!

My opinion, the release cycle needs to be changed. 9 months => too short, unrealistic. Good for a baby, not so much for a linux distribution. That's my conclusion.

Now, how much is the correct value? No idea, we should discuss.

In reality it is "when it is ready" - and i prefer that quality over a stiff timeframe.
Actually we run cauldron on almost all computers here in family and work currently... Feels almost ready now.
Very useable anyway - good for production if there is at least some advanced user around just in case...
