LTS version?

Is there any definite news whether there is going to be an LTS version as well as the 9 month versions?

Just wondering and don't want to get into an argument as to whether there should be or not!

Cheers.

Quote from "Mageia 2: release cycle, support and planning" (http://blog.mageia.org/en/2011/07/17/ma ... -planning/ ):
We will have a global review of our resources before next release to check that we can still provide support according to our first plan. If all is going well, then we will think about releasing a LTS (Long Term Support) version every 18 months, to be supported for 3 years.

Thanks wobo.

I just wondered if there had been a decision yet. (Only curiosity!)

Guess I am too early in asking.

Cheers

The good thing about a community-driven distro is that everybody has a say and can participate equally and the devels and decision-makers aren't godlike beings whom none dare approach but are open to just about anything.
The bad thing is that decisions take forever :P

Still a decision, even being unanimous, isn't worth anything if it ain't based on reality. Why do I say this? Because the question of LTS or not will be decided mainly by the availability of ressources (aka "people who volunteer to do the work").

That's perfectly understandable.
