So, since KDE4 workspaces is officially end of life if not already than just days away, is Mageia5 any plans to go to KDE5, or will that wait for Mageia6, and hope that by the time Mageia6 is ready for release that KDE5 is in a state that's...more functional, stable, and usable than currently (although I haven't used 5.4 that was released today yet, so it may be that this finally makes it stable and usable)?

From where do you have that information? 4.14.x is a long term supported release. And Mageia 5 will be supported until end of 2016: https://www.mageia.org/en/support/
Mageia 5 will definitely not see any big KF5 or Plasma5 upgrades as that is hard work in progress, even in cauldron.

According to a thread by Albert Astals Cid (a KDE developer), KDE workspaces 4.11.x is end of life, and will no longer have any releases after this month. Workspace 4.11.x = KDE 4.14.x. So no further updates will ever be released for KDE4.
