[SOLVED] MCC (drakconf) history

I am curious to know when the 'current version' of the drakconf tool was released. I've searched online, and did find some screenshots of version 9.x (and some later versions) on Mandriva's page, but it didn't include information as to what year they were released. Was 9.x the first version of drakconf that resembles the MCC that we use now, or were there earlier versions that were also similar? I'm just trying to get a general understanding of this wonderful tool's history. Thx.

In the software manager you can see the changelog, since the fork, or execute

The earliest versions of drakconf and of the draxtools that I can find online are those for Mandrake 7.0, released in 2000:

A far as I remember, there was a MCC / drakconf tool since the begining of mandriva. it was the 5.3 and the 6.0 if i'm not wrong.
That was maiinly the reason to choose mandriva in place of debian or redhat.

Only issue is that now there is powerful alternatives and sometimes better one... MCC that was pretty advanced is slowly transforming itself in an old stuff...
