impressive mageia forums!

I just wanted to give a general thanks to all of the people supporting this mageia forum. I have been searching for a kubuntu replacement for a while, and while I don't have mageia installed yet, I am anxious to try it (I am on vacation at my inlaws right now, so I may have to run to the store to get a usb flash drive ]).

Anyway, one of the things I like to do is to check out the forums of different distros. I must say that I am very impressed at the general friendliness and helpfulness of everyone on this forum. This is a real plus, IMHO.

I hope this doesn't sound pompous or silly, but there are some forums where everyone acts like jerks (I'd rather not mention which ones lest I become as them).

So, anyway, thanks again. I am excited for the upcomming release!

Welcome labatts! One of the first things you will notice is how much faster Mageia runs KDE than Kubutu or god forbid Mint. Although Mageia offers a variety of DEs, I believe KDE runs best (Of the heavy ones anyway) and you'll notice a good chunk (but not all) of the userbase here runs KDE.
