Due to server-outage the forum wasn't reachable for some 45 minutes this afternoon.

You sure it was a server outage?
alamut responded to pings, all other websites were ok. Only the 2 forums showed a 503.

BTW: Very good timing - usually I take my afternoon nap from 12:00 - 16:00. Forums were back a couple of minutes later.
So I should pass a note to the sysadmins to schedule server outages accordingly.

You are right wobo, actually it was a (vm?)-service not running, from what i learned in IRC.
