Sorry, but that sounds ridiculous IMHO.

We just can't bundle it as part of an official release because of reasons.

I think that having images like this in that package is perfectly ok, yes it is an official package, but it is not the default and I feel that it makes these contests far more open to the community as a whole.
doktor5000 wrote:Totally apart from that, after rereading several times the Artwork guidelines and that blog post, I don't see any mention that cauldron+Mageia logo have to be omitted official wallpaper proposals/contributions. Can you please show me the relevant quote? Even Trademark policy shows that when building for Mageia, trademark usage is okay.
When using the Mageia logo to create wallpapers, icon sets, or other original artworks:
Please adhere to the original colour scheme. Exceptions: if the logo appears difficult to read in your art project, consider using a monochrome black or white version.
Please do not separate the word "Mageia" from the bubbling Cauldron symbol. Exceptions: the Cauldron alone might be used in a piece of artwork, such as a wallpaper or icon.
Please adhere to the given element's original proportions -- that is, do not "stretch" the logo.

doktor5000 wrote:I understand: artwork including the word Mageia together with the cauldron symbol is perfectly fine - complete contrary to the "informal guidelines" that the three of you mentioned.
