Few people use Nano? I had the impression lots of people use Nano.. But I might be wrong.
Most distroes include Nano, that I know.
Back when I used Mandriva I also raised this question. At the time they could not include it in the .iso file as they were distributing with a CD due to space constrains. Then they changed to DVD for 2011 and everyone started moving to Mageia. Afterall, it is not a huge package, takes only 600KB as an rpm file.
