A new, unified Mageia Theme

Postby VoodooDali » May 24th, '13, 15:22

This didn't seem appropriate for a bug report, but I'll initiate one if requested to do so. :geek:

I for one would like to see a new, uniquely "Mageia" theme for the desktop, one that includes a large set of gorgeous wallpapers (like the one created by 9dzign for Mageia 3), window decorations, desktop (plasma) theme, cursors, sounds, the whole enchilada. It should be available for Gnome as well as for KDE, and if possible for other DEs to the extent that they will support.

This would satisfy some critics who look for something that sets Mageia apart from other distros, without necessarily reinventing the wheel as was done with ROSA.

Thoughts?

As a Graphic Artist, I would be interested...

A quote "Mageia" Theme.
Not quite sure what the OP is getting at, but from my observations...
Crystal is in.

Shiny...?
What is Shiny?... self explanitory.
Looks good, crystalline appearance, semi translucent icons, etc.

A blue Magick or Black Magick Theme might be in order...

My pref is starting with this:

as a folder style, then becoming much more.
Everaldo did a excellent job with this one... Let alone I have many variations already.
The crystal stuff is also LGPL.
