I wonder, why not have SHA/MD5 checksums in download links page, like in other distributions? If they do exist somewhere, does anyone know where?

They are already on the download page, click on an image, the site that opens afterwards has md5sum and shasum.
Check e.g. http://www.mageia.org/en/downloads/get/ ... 86-DVD.iso

Only for the torrents there's none, as you will receive a complete folder with checksum and index files.
