Smooth Tasks 2 vs Icon Tasks

I tested "Smooth Tasks 2" with mageia2, I think, it is smooth and better than "Icon Tasks"

Absolutely, would love to see that in the repo's or better as the default! More space when you have a lot of programs running, less clutter, better productivity

Very welcome to the Mageia forum, both tanara and demilord!!!!

Tanara, just curious, what makes you saying Smooth Tasks 2 is better?
Is it functionality, is it something else?

Productivty overview.. And cleaner appearance .. it is default on PCLinuxOS.. And now I run it on opensuse  .. I am thinking of moving to mageia.. I find opensuse development a bit slow, although it runs pretty stable.. It feels a bit slow sometimes especially under heavy load, i got opensuse to freeze hard under heavy rendering and almost lockup entirely..

just my 2 cents

edit:
I looked at some reviews and see there is something already enabled by default? I do not see any windows title in the panel? So i dont see the need for it.. Correct me if I am wrong!

See the second paragraph of https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Mageia_2_Err ... ace_Issues

FWIW, i like the the classic taskmanager applet.

No, it's not a bug, it's a featue and now the default with Mageia 2.

Well, depends, and a matter of taste. F.ex. i don't like it at all.

Plasma applet smooth task 2 is much more complete in settings and options that plasma-applet-icontasks. It is a great misfortune that he had not officially packaged in Mageia 2 and Plasma applet smooth task 1 being broken in kde 4.8.5
