Filter For Configure media sources for install and update

Postby yankee495 » May 30th, '12, 10:58

Yesterday I had to add some media sources. I had to scroll down the list and check mark core updates testing. My eyes were tired and it was frustrating to find them. A simple filter at the top where you could put in "backports" and have it list all sources for "back ports", or enabled & disabled, would be very handy. It could even scan the titles and use a drop down menu with key words for the titles.

This is for the truly lazy, or in my case forgetful. The drop down list I mean. It seems it would be a simple and welcome addition.

If you want it, report it as a bug/feature request at https://bugs.mageia.org/enter_bug.cgi?p ... mat=guided
FWIW, you can enable/disable media via urpmi.update, with the options --ignore and --no-ignore
But you need to provide either the full media name, as otherwise it will disable/enable the media which have the string you provide inside their name.
So if you f.ex. do urpmi.update --no-ignore testing it will enable every repo which has testing somehwere in it's name.
