Hi, I'm trying to find a wxCam http://sourceforge.net/projects/wxcam/files/ rpm version suitable for Mageia 2, but I can't find any. I found te newst version here ftp://ftp.ntua.gr/pub/linux/unity/repo/2011/x86_64/main/ but it can't be installed in Mageia 2 due to some dependecies. Could it be possible to add a Mageia version of this program? It's the best I've used to record from the webcam...

Have you tried shutter or cheese? How is wxcam better?
FWIW, package request should be filed via bugzilla: https://wiki.mageia.org/en/How_to_repor ... ge_request

I've tried Cheese and Kamoso. Both stuck most of the times I try then and Chese never get to record any video, webcam image freeze forever everytime I try recording video, it only works for pictures. wxCam works fine, records with natural movement, not jumping like Kamoso, and has some interesting things like movement detection (which makes it useful, for example, to use it for surveillance). I'll try Shutter, but wxCam is the best webcam program I've ever tried. I'll request wxCam via bugzilla too ;)

Ahh, now that i look at your initial post again, it's not that clear that you wanted to report video. So yes, the ones i posted are more for screenshots.
