hosts -file Server & Client and on Installationroutine

Postby blackcrack » May 18th, '11, 15:45

Hy,

why cant make standart entry per installationsroutine :

echo "127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost" > /etc/hosts
echo "%hostip% %hostdomain% %hostname%" >>/etc/hosts
or maby
echo "$hostip $hostdomain $hostname" >>/etc/hosts

i dont now realy (cant programming..) but why dont use echo for a creating
an hostfile on the to installing distrie.
echo it is easy effective and do his work..
I always get a crippled hosts file and it needs to rewrite more later fresh!

there is realy easy to become an correct wroting hostfile at the installstage
to have a correckt network at running..

then maby a next step maby on the installer is for an hostsfile in an
network on an hosts-file "server" maby with an root-password
for become easyly an hostslisting direcktly from a Server maby...

humm, why can't actualisation the hostsfile via a hosts-file-server..
If have an Family more as 2-4 Computers and at bottom in the Cellar(german "Keller")
stay an House-server with a hostsfile so can maby actualsation the hostfile via hostsfile-client.
So it is possible to can update the server spammip's from the net to rerouting ;) direcktly on the
server via hostsfile who be every updated from server :)

And on the Installroutine can be an Step, were stay the actual Hostsfile with hostsfile-serverpass
the hosts-file-client can be run only one at day or offen like dyndns every if booting or every hower and call
the server for a actual hosts-file. in the client hostsfileclient.conf be wrote it like
hostsserver 192.168.0.1 password xxxx actualisation boot or 1hower or 24howers

best regards
