I'm looking for Gtk-orphan Debanian software originally. but wasn't there a anti-orphan, cookie clearer outer, a mandrake utility prog a few years ago ?

As already asked in the other thread, would you mind to describe what a "cookie clearer outer" should do or what you want to achieve with that?

The ability to remove orphan packages is already builtin to urpmi, the Mandriva/Mageia package management tool.
But if you don't exactly understand what urpmi defines as an orphan, you shouldn't use it. It's no easy way to
remove unneeded packages, if you want that.

The closest thing to a cookie clearer (found on Mandriva's repos) that I can think of is Bleachbit.
There were also others (Kleansweep was a good one) but I think Bleachbit is the only one maintained.
You can try your luck with the one from their website:

As for orphaned packages (aside from Rpmdrake itself) you can use (with caution!) Qt4rpm. This one is in our repos.

because of my particular range of disabilities I need to use a GUI ( my hands shake so I can adjust keyboard repeater in a GUI so command line editing is hard ) When I was younger command line was no problem. But I'm still trying to act like the man I was.

They both (Qt4rpm and Bleachbit) have GUI so probably they'll serve you well.
