I found an old project :: padevchooser

thus the sourcecode is aviabel, my suggestion would be to modernize its appearance, and include it into the repository.
This tool seems al valid and concernable thus as pavucontrol ...

It's unmaintained upstream and it was replaced by pavucontrol.

Feel free to compile it yourself e.g. from https://github.com/d3matt/padevchooser but be aware that this hasn't been updated in nearly 10 years, so it will definitely not be included back in the repository.
