I am looking for a forum blog site to use audio with. I want to write stories and the like but don't really know my way around suck places. Anyone here know just the thing?

Sorry but I don't understand your query.

Do you want to host a webserver and a blog software on your own box, or do you want to use some blog service that already exists?
And how do you want to use audio with the blog, can you please be more specific about that? Are you maybe looking for some kind of podcast service or software?

Same question for the apps you're asking for. Apps for what? To edit audio?
audacity would come to mind, or maybe avidemux or ardour (package is called ardour3) if you want more.

Sorry for not getting back to you, I have been having problems. I forgot my password and had difficulty getting updates, a nuisance i resolved by screwing up the box. I am currently using another machine with Linux Mint. I'll get back to you when I am less upset. TIA.
