AAC Audio problem on XBMC

I'm new to Mageia, but have used ubuntu for about 10 years before making the switch. My primary source of entertainment is XBMC, but I have had tons of problems with it since switching to Mageia. After reinstalling the OS so many times because of black screen from XBMC, I finally got it to update and work last week, but there was no audio, so I googled around and found a post with a similar problem. After reading that post, I enabled the sources mentioned in it, and installed a lot of the gstreamer packages, but alas, many videos with audio codecs AAC 2.0 and 5.0 do not have sound. A few do, so I don't really know hat is happening.
Maybe there are other packages that I haven't installed, but I really don't know. Coud someone please point me in the right direction?
Thanks.
