Sound recorder will not record for me on Mageia 3.
I am using the built in Audio Analog Stereo for sound.
Sound recorder opens and then nothing when I click on the 'record' button.
If I open 'Volume Control' from the Sound Recorder menu (File->Open Volume Control) all I get is a blank dialog with the window title of "System Settings" but nothing is there.
(BTW if I try to open 'gnome-control-center', I get the same blank window.)
Pulse audio seems to be working correctly
I have tried all the settings I can find. At a superficial lever Sound Recorder does not appear to be communicating with the system hardware.
Appreciate any suggestions or help.

But just tried it under Mageia 3, and it behaves exactly like you described it.

thanks. I missed those bugs. Can only wait for them to be fixed, I guess. Entire gnome-control-center is not functioning.

You may want to comment on https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8703 saying that you're also affected.
For the gnome-control-center issue best report a separate bug.

So while checking at bugs.mageia.org I found this bug https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11456
The issue is that lib64gnome-media-profiles3.0_0 is not installed as a requirement when gnome-media is installed. I installed it separately and Sound Recorder works
The gnome-control-center issue remains and I will report that as a separate bug.
