Hi everybody,

when I try to insert a sound (mp3) in LibreOffice 4.0.5 (for example: on a white page of LibreOffice Writer) : insert -> sound and video, LibreOffice is blocked. I must kill LibreOffice. Do you think it's a bug in LibreOffice 4.0.5 version ?

Here it works. Seems like Libreoffice freezes, but during this time it's working to insert the sound file. How long did you wait and how big is that mp3?

Ok, I will test it again.

How big is that mp3 ? Some Mega bytes.

I've tested with an mp3 ~6MB, and it takes half a minute until it's finally inserted.

ok, it is good now but I have got another problem. I can't resize the sound objet on the page. When I tried to do it, LibreOffice crashed. When I moved this object there is no problem.

That's weird, works here too. Takes quite a few second to resize the icon, not really sure what it's doing there but it doesn't crash.

I can't show you my list of media because I use a local repository. But I want to tell you that inserting or resize a multimedia element takes so long time on Magiea 3 LibreOffice. I don't know if the problem come from LibreOffice or Mageia LibreOffice, but I never saw it before (on old versions and on others distributions). I tried to insert and resize a picture element, and it works perfectly.

I installed OpenOffice and I uninstalled LibreOffice. LibreOffice must be checked because inserting and resizing of a media element are very slow.
