Hi.
Clean install of mageia 3 x86_64 with all updates on
Manufacturer: Intel Corporation
Product Name: DQ67SW
Codec: Realtek ALC888
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz
Mem 4gb.
LXDE.
Using pulseaudio, also reproduced when it's unused:
Log into system.
Open lxterminal, konsole or yakuake, start mplayer with music or internet radio you like.
All sounds good.

After it open another lxterminal, konsole or yakuake tab, login as root "su -" and after that just exit from root console.
Mplayer stops with "Audio device got stuck!", if you log into root consoel again sound start playing again.

What is it and how to fix it?

Somebody reported that some time ago, but i don't find the link to that thread. His workaround was keeping an root terminal open on an unused workspace IIRC.

This should be fixed now at least for lightdm, slim and lxdm.
