MP3Directcut

fast & easy to use Mp3 editor
I did a bunch of quick n dirty edits of LP's
using the the bar graph to find the pause or other quiet parts
my goal was to have 4-8 minute tracks even on albums where a whole side was a track

I don't see anything like this in the repositories

What about Audacity, part of a default installation?

I use Audacity to turn audio[vinyl] to digital
the work flow is too complex [too many mouse clicks] to do chopping of the files into tracks
I've turned 300+ albums into mp3's
I tried again just now to use audacity to split a 20 minute track into 4 tracks, it will do the job, just not very well...

I found this
http://mp3splt.sourceforge.net/mp3splt_ ... nloads.php
& installed the fedora 18 version
I have a menu item
but nothing opens
when I go to task manager, it doesn't seem to be active?
