[DONE] Exists encoder mp3HD open source?

Exists encoder mp3HD open source? Any player Open Source already supports? I found no tool in the repositories, which suggestions for use in mageia linux? The advantage is to be compatible with mp3 legacy and be a lossless format:

Mp3HD is a lossless audio codec delivering an archival format for storing digital audio, which has the unique benefit of being able to be played in standard mp3 on every existing mp3 decoder. Mp3HD is based on MPEG-1/MPEG-2 Layer 3, with file extension .mp3.
Key features:

Compression: An mp3HD file has 2 components. First is the standard mp3 file, which can be made using any mp3 bit rate. 192kbps is commonly used as it is virtually indistinguishable from a CD, and is a small file size. The additional data needed to create a lossless mp3HD file from the standard mp3 component is automatically calculated from the chosen mp3 bit rate. No special mp3HD settings are necessary.

Lossless format: Audio quality is equivalent to a CD (100% bit exact copy). The file size of an mp3HD song is approximately half of a CD track.

Future Proof: Mp3HD as it is bit exact to a CD can be considered an archival copy, which is future proof.

Compatibility: Mp3HD files are backward compatible and can be played on every mp3 devices

Multiple usage: Same as mp3, with more benefits: archival format, sound preservation and ultimate quality experience

Convenience: Use the same ID3 metadata as mp3 embedded track – album, artist, track, song, genre, etc.

If you want to have an archival format, sound preservation and ultimate quality experience, then don't use mp3hd, but use some
real lossless codec which is better supported. Like FLAC.

Also there's a limitation, the lossless part is saved only via ID3v2 tags, and the maximum size of that is 256MB, so the maximum
size of an mp3hd file would be 256MB. And so far on the encoder front, there only seems to be the original Thompson/Fraunhofer encoder:
http://www.iis.fraunhofer.de/en/bf/amm/ ... mp3hd.html

The only thing that it's good for, is to use it as a replacement for mp3, but it's not that widespread due to the encoder problem,
and licensing issues (which are a problem for all MP3 encoders, you may violate patents/licenses if you use mp3).
And let me tell you, yes i've used mp3hd myself on a Thomson Lyra PDP2448.

Also, mp3hd needs support from the player, which is really rare - Otherwise only the normal included mp3 file
is played only - that is what's meant by backwards compatibility. So unless there is playback support for mp3hd
commonly widespread, and encoders freely available, mp3hd is not that useful (in comparison to other alternatives).
This does not mean that mp3hd is bad by itself.

I really like FLAC and ALAC, but my portable devices do not support. So when I saw the reference mp3HD thought it would be a way to have only one file that plays on all my devices, but I did not see on solution in open player and open encoder.

Well, use mp3 and a good encoder and high bitrates. If you players don't support mp3hd, there's no point in using it at all.
Please mark the thread accordingly by editing the topic of the first post and prefix it by [DONE], thanks.

BTW: If you want to play around with mp3hd, here's a link to the linux toolkit including the encoder:

I saw that has the encoder and decoder for mp3HD, but I have not found how to reproduce it on linux with lossless quality. If you find a player without wine let me know!
