Laptop - only right hand speaker works (OK on Windows)

Postby DiBosco » Dec 12th, '24, 09:28

I have dual boot LG Gram, the left hand speaker doesn't work at all.

In alsamixer and system settings the volume is turned up on both channels. If I do the test where you click on the speaker in Audio - System Settings you can hear the voice say "Front Right" but not "Front Left". Alsamixer doesn't even give me the choice of changing R&L level independently as far as I can see. System Settings does, but both channels are turned right up.

If I boot into Windows it works fine. Anyone have any other suggestions as to what I might try to solve this please?
