Hello,

I have upgraded from mageia-4 to mageia-5.

I have updated my system

I am getting no sound when I try to play mp4 or flv video files.

With VLC, I get the following message :

" VLC could not decode the format "mp4a" (MPEG AAC Audio) ".

I experienced the same problem with mageia-4

I have the following file installed :

faad2
libfaad
gstreamer
gstreamer-faad

Any clue why there is no sound ?

I had sorted this once but remember what I did.

Thanks in advance

Varun

As I switched to tainted packages it mp4 videos worked with sound.

Though still I can't play flv files.

Thanks for the help

And we should magically try to guess with which player they are not working, or which codec those .flv videos use?
