I just installed mageia 4.1 today. When I am updating any component, the system or installing a software from the repository I am getting speeds of 3-5 kB/s but surfing the net I get speeds of 270-280 kB/s. Any idea anybody as it frustrating

I would try changing the mirror for updates.
