Mageia firewall

I have problem with mageia firewall. it's not working i have open port 4000 to bittorrent but it's still closed port and any of those settings are not working with firewall even shutting down firewall it's not working. is there some terminal command to open ports from that firewall ?

What bittorrent client are you using?
Some report that you're firewalled then actually work anyway. Old versions of ktorrent come to mind, I'm not sure about newer versions.

The tracker is also important. Some trackers also need the classical bittorrent ports forwarded
that would be 6881 and 6969, both TCP.

But all this assumes that you already have the setup the port forwarding properly in your router.

hmm i don't have any router i have 3g net connection huawei e169 adapter and second one it's nokia cs-15 maybe i can test that nokia to find out is that problem only with that huawei

You should have told that earlier.

For one, almost all 3g providers don't allow packet-based data transfers, like filesharing, check your contract about that.
Also, your external IP will always be that of the AP that your provider gives to you. And that will be used by really many people,
also they won't forward these ports (as they do not allow it). The problem is not with the firewall, but with your connection.

AFAIK, there is no chance in changing that when you still want to use that 3g connection.

yeah you are right i did not give you all information what needed. i can do it next time when i having problem's with mageia. thanx for your help and information. :D
