Hello, It seems for some reason my public IP and my other IP are not the same. How can I change my IP to be like my public IP, please? (M4)
thank you ( step by step if possible...)

Why would you want that exactly or what for?
Unless you're directly connected to the internet (that is, not via home router/DSL modem or whatever typically is used) you will always have a public IP,
and your router will typically assign you a private, non-routable IP adress via DHCP.

some routers provide a sip proxy for that, its a common problem with sip.
other things that need that kind of feature, ie two way comms utilize upnp, ie games.
but as Doktor has pointed out, the way that a router hides your PC from the internet is to stop you getting
continually hacked.
presenting a server on the internet requires some serious thoughts about security, something that a workstation is not really appropriate for.
as in general its running two many services that make it more vulnerable to exposure.
therefore workstations should be ideally kept off direct access from outside.

Thank you. Finally the trouble was not on my side but came from the SIP line. It got sorted without my having to do anything. Am glad because my fumblings would have made things worse I am sure
