I have one problem, i want to install my modem Huawei EC156 CDMA via terminal but didn't work,,, so i try via MCC but in next my card is not reconigze, I am using ESIA (Indonesia). please tell how i install this modem and first I am a new in mageia. thanks

How did you try to install it via terminal? Also what exactly did you try in MCC?


Please unplug the modem, then do the following: open a terminal, and as root run:

journalctl -f

then wait a few seconds, and plugin the device, wait again half a minute or so, until no new output appears.
Then please post the output here.

via terminal, I try to many way but didn't work and via MCC, I open in Network & internet->set up new interface->GPRS/3G-> then show up the manually configuration so I choose Indonesia and no one CDMA just GSM operator...

That is pretty much useless, as the output is ellipsized. Make your terminal wider, or write the output directly to a text file.

Did you try to install some driver for this before?

This looks seriously broken to me:

Is this help to get it working ?.
