Which media did you use to install Mageia, and which desktop environment are you using? Do you use net_applet or NetworkManager?
And at least provide the output of the following command:

Code: Select all
lspcidrake -v | grep -i -e net -e broad

According to http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Dri ... ed_devices your device is not supported by the free b43 driver, only by the proprietary wl driver. You probably need to blacklist b43, bcma and ssb and then install and load broadcom-wl driver. Also see http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Dri ... en_drivers

That is only explained on the old website, see
http://linuxwireless.sipsolutions.net/e ... en_drivers

As root, do the following:
Code: Select all
echo -e "blacklist b43\nblacklist bcma\nblacklist ssb\n" >> /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-mga.conf

Then reboot and try again.

It's contained in the package dkms-broadcom-wl or the binary version is contained in broadcom-wl-kernel-xx
and it should automatically get installed if you run harddrake via MCC: http://doc.mageia.org/mcc/5/en/content/harddrake2.html

Mageia 2 is long EOL - please use a current Mageia release. And please do not hijack other people's thread, open a separate one for your issue.
