Wireless connections are detected but connection fails!

Postby majicka » Oct 24th, '13, 16:29

Can someone help me? I've read through a few threads but it truly gives me a headache. I'm using Mageia 3 KDE version. It sees all my networks but connection keeps failing.

I've tried following the instructions in one thread--run 'drakconnect' in root and make it so that the network is controlled by network management and by the user but nothing has changed

make sure you clear out the file in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/wireless.d/00::xx:xx:xx:xx that
is associated with your access point/router

as sometimes when its wrong, only when you get it working does it get updated.

or update the contents so they reflect your connection.

sometimes entering the details in the dialog box, when its wrong in this file, does not always take.
