[SOLVED]Can not find the wireless device

[SOLVED]Can not find the wireless device

Postby greenbell » Jun 15th, '11, 11:32

I've just installed Mageia 1 on my laptop, but I can not use wifi. The system can figure out that my device is BCM4313 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Controller. But when I choose it to connect wifi, it says "can not find the network card of the device".
I have searched the internet and succeeded in installing the B43 drivers. But it still doesn't work.
Please help me~ :( :( :(

I found the solution here: https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=923
Just search and install "dkms-broadcom-wl" from the source. :D :D :D

I saw this previously and I did as follows
Code: Select all
CODE: SELECT ALL
wget http://mirror2.openwrt.org/sources/broadcom-wl-4.150.10.5.tar.bz2
tar xf broadcom-wl-4.150.10.5.tar.bz2
cd broadcom-wl-4.150.10.5/driver
su
b43-fwcutter -w /lib/firmware wl_apsta_mimo.o
modprobe b43

BUT IT STILL DOES NOT WORK! :(

I understand now, he/she replied later and I guess it's not working.
