bluetooth pairing

For some reason no bluetooth connection wizard (bluedevil blueman ect) wants to remember my phone as a paired device. The bluetooth demon is up and running they will pair for single events like obex transactions. Yet that pairing will not persist it won't remember the device or allow me to set it to trusted.
I have no idea how to fix the configuration to allow me to do this

Which desktop environment are you using?

kde I put in the gnome bluetooth gui alongside the kde one in order to test if it was something broken in kde. I suppose it still might be, but neither one worked.
