[Resolved] Machine is slow when assigned on IP address

Edit: Nevermind. I don't know what fixed this, but the network is okay on this machine at this point.
My HTPC is very slow accessing the network when the static address is configured.
If I set it up as 192.168.1.100 (static), it takes about 30 seconds to produce a simple file directory ("ls" command) from any other machine on my network. If I set it up as a DHCP client it gets another address and works fine. This is true, btw, if the machine is working on wifi or hard-wired ethernet. I deleted the two files in /etc/sysconfig/network_scripts and that seemed to help until I rebooted. Rebooting the router hasn't helped.
I guess I could just assign another ip address, but I'd like to get this fixed.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Mark
