[SOLVED] mageia firewall blocking port for minecraft server?

hello, im using this type of server called bukkit to make a minecraft server.
what i do on windows is set the server ip to 192.168.1.3 which is for wlan0
i make 192.168.1.3 ported through my router
i login to minecraft and access the server through my routers ip address (ex.21.212.12.122)

now im doing the same exact thing in mageia2
i cannot log in with my routers ip but it does work if i use 192.168.1.3, meaning only i can log in and noone else can.
i have a feeling that a firewall is blocking 192.168.1.3 from being ported, and i dont know how to access it, or create an exception.

any ideas to fix this?

i disabled the firewall, everything works now!
