[SOLVED] Wifi Connection is Lost MGA2B2

Hi Mageistas ;)

Now I had this problem only with Mandriva 2011. Sometimes with Fedora but less frequent..in Debian never. Always the same machine and the same connection.

My WIFi, WPA-PSK, hidden SSID; Every entry in the configuration is perfect, still at times Mageia loses the connection and is never able to connect back. This is a problem I am having with Mandriva as I mentioned and less frequent in Fedora.

The network is shown in the network center, the strength is sometimes good sometimes bad, but I wonder why is it lost in Mageia and never lost in Debian! One more thing; Sometimes I turn off the router and when I switch it back on I have to reconfigure the connection, well just go through the steps in MCC actually as the configuration is saved. but why do I have to do that? Why when I reboot the router I only have it's NIC MAC shown instead of my SSID?

Mandriva heritage!!

Hello linuxero

Did you try the tricks given in bug 4215 ? It worked twice for me.

I'll check it out, thank you

By the way, if I connect manually in the terminal I have no problem!!
