tftp-server setup

Postby mithion » Mar 30th, '20, 22:08

Good day folks! I'm trying to setup a server instance of the TFTP protocol to have a respository to download switch firmware to our network stacks. I saw there was a package called tftp-server which I promptly installed. But I couldn't figure out what to do next to get the service running and how to configure which folders will serve as the root directory. Does anybody have any experience setting up tftp server?

I think I got it figured out. Found some random documentation about the config file at /etc/xinetd.d/ftp and set the variable "disable = yes" and changed it to "no". Then I poked a hole in the firewall on port 69/udp and was able to connect and copy files over.
