hi

if you use the setup im suggesting, they will all get there hostname from dhcp
TAKEN FROM STATIC DHCP SETUP

host samsungtablet10.5.MYNETWORK.net {
hardware ethernet 10:30:47:40:ec:c3;
fixed-address 192.168.1.165;
}

you have one of these for each host specified and then they get set as the network comes up.

the hostname of the system gets passed to dynamic dns on registration.

i dont know why you rely on your btrouter to do this, its going to change the ipaddress willy nilly everytime it resets

or that the host is left off for a while.
