Mageia 5 Wifi only lists WPA, not WPA2

Mageia 5 Wifi only lists WPA, not WPA2

Postby lightblue » Mar 1st, '16, 16:30

Hi,

I just installed Mageia 5 on my laptop, but the Wifi only sees WPA network, and not mine which is WPA2,

Does anybody know anything about this issue?
I've searched for that but didn't find anything useful that solves my issue.

Thanks

Which desktop environment do you use currently? And please provide the output of the following commands:

Code: Select all
lspcidrake -v|grep -iE "wlan|wifi|wireless|net"
ps -ef|grep -v grep|grep -iE "net|wpa"

and, as root:
Code: Select all
iw $(/bin/ls /sys/class/net|grep ^wl) scan
journalctl -ab | grep -iE "fw|firmware|iwl|wifi|wire|80211"

Make sure to anonymize the "iw scan" listing if you don't want to post the actual SSIDs ...
