[DONE} install Broadcom 43142 wireless driver offline

Uhmm, we have that update to 6.30.223.271 since we have 4.1 kernels in Mageia 5.
Problem could be that I suggested to use /release in the scriptlets shown above, but /updates would have brought the latest driver. But some packages are only available in /release (if there haven't been updates for them).

FWIW, I'm using the broadcom wl driver since Mageia 5 beta, and it hasn't let me down once.

Just wanted to chip in, I don't use Mageia on the machine I have broadcom in anymore (until I decide to install it again), but I had also been using the wl through several reinstalls (it's my test machine that I install a new OS on every other week) from rc's up to release and multiple times since then, never had a single issue installing offline either.
